Why Use Polyurethane in Construction Applications?
Polyurethane elastomers combine abrasion resistance, impact resistance, flexibility, resilience, and customizable hardness, making them suitable for demanding construction, structural, and equipment applications.- Impact Resistance-Polyurethane bumpers, pads, stops, and structural components can absorb repeated mechanical impact and help protect equipment and assemblies from shock loading.
- Vibration Damping-Properly selected polyurethane components can help absorb vibration and reduce mechanical transmission in structural supports, machinery, and equipment applications.
- Abrasion Resistance-Polyurethane can withstand repeated friction and contact with abrasive materials, helping extend component service life in demanding construction environments.
- Load Distribution & Support-Polyurethane structural pads and support components can help distribute loads, absorb mechanical movement, and protect contact surfaces in suitable applications.
- Custom Hardness & Geometry-Polyurethane hardness, dimensions, geometry, and material formulation can be tailored according to load, wear, impact, vibration, temperature, and operating conditions.
Construction & Structural Challenges We Help Solve
Construction equipment and structural systems can experience heavy loads, repeated impact, vibration, abrasion, and mechanical movement.- Heavy Impact & Shock-Polyurethane Solution: Polyurethane bumpers, stops, pads, and cushioning components can absorb repeated impact and help protect equipment and structural contact points.
- Structural Vibration-Polyurethane Solution: Polyurethane damping pads and sheets can help reduce vibration transmission between equipment, supports, and structural components.
- Abrasion & Surface Wear-Polyurethane Solution: Wear-resistant polyurethane liners, pads, strips, and protective components can help reduce abrasion and protect high-wear surfaces.
- Mechanical Contact & Impact-Polyurethane Solution: Polyurethane pads, sleeves, bumpers, and protective components can help reduce direct metal-to-metal contact and repeated mechanical impact.
- Uneven Loads & Support Requirements-Polyurethane Solution: Custom polyurethane structural pads and support components can be designed for specific load distribution, cushioning, leveling, and contact requirements.
Custom Polyurethane Manufacturing for Construction Applications
We manufacture custom polyurethane elastomer components according to engineering drawings, CAD files, samples, and technical specifications. Depending on the component design and production requirements, we provide cast, molded, or injection-molded polyurethane components with application-specific material selection, hardness, geometry, and finishing.- Drawing or Sample- Provide your engineering drawing, CAD file, existing sample, or component specifications. We review dimensions, geometry, tolerances, and application requirements.
- Material & Hardness Selection- We recommend a suitable polyurethane elastomer and hardness based on abrasion, impact, load, friction, vibration, temperature, and operating conditions.
- Mold Design & Molding-Molds are designed according to the required component geometry and production requirements. Polyurethane is then cast, compression molded, or injection molded according to the component design and material specifications.
- Machining & Finishing-After molding, components can be machined, trimmed, drilled, bonded, or finished according to required dimensions, tolerances, surface requirements, and assembly specifications.
- Inspection- Finished components are inspected for dimensions, hardness, appearance, and other specified requirements before shipment.
